Self-respect is earned by refusing to accept mediocrity. A winner of a golf tournament said, “I did not play my best game today. Fortunately, it happened to be better than the other guys who played today.” Now here is a guy who gets it.
Competition is judging your actions as compared to others. Excellence is judging your actions by what you know you are capable of doing and refusing to accept mediocrity.
Ask yourself if you are doing the very best that you can. If the answer is “No” then ask yourself why and get rid of the excuse. Do the very best that you can with all that you have. Win with excellence, regardless of anyone else’s score or opinion.

Is what true? Is it true that “Excellence is judging your actions by what you know you are capable of doing and refusing to accept mediocrity”?
